This site is designed to promote Cambridge International exam centre options for private and external candidates.
CAIE or CIE for short stands Cambridge International Assessment education .
Why:
There is a rise of non school exam takers. While there is a reduction in schools and colleges that accept independent learners.
Aim:
We hope to provide advice and guidance to independent learners of CIE courses along with giving them an option for exam siting.
While the Cambridge International Web site lists a range of schools and colleges that might accept private candidates. There are many of the schools that simply do not.
We aim to list centres along with our own plus advice and guidance of what you need to do if you consider yourself a private candidate.
Private candidates often have a hard time accessing GCSEs and A levels. While Exam Boards encourage centres to take them. Often the challenges are too great to allow exam centres to provide private exam candidates the service they need.
Cambridge International (CIE) provides an updated page with a list of exam centres that take private candidates.
The responsibility is on the candidate to find a suitable exam centre that will accept them and register with them. Not all exam codes are available to private candidates. Especially where there a great deal of non exam assessment.
